Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our client’s team in West Tulsa. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and dispatching specialty metal orders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer specifications. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare metal products for shipment in accordance with customer specifications.
• Use appropriate packing materials and techniques to ensure product safety during transit.
• Generate and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
• Maintain precise records of inventory levels and promptly report discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure quality and order accuracy.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of proven forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders.
• Capable of lifting 50+ pounds when required.
• Strong math skills for quick, accurate calculations.
• Proficient with computers and digital systems.
• Must be team-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with team members daily.
