Position Summary

The Shipping Associate will be responsible to coordinate the delivery schedule for the trucks by zone, to ensure efficient and timely routing.  The Shipping Associate must be organized and pay high attention to detail in routing, loading, and shipping of products to ensure accuracy.  This is a 3rd shift position, the work schedule is Sunday through Thursday nights 10:45 pm to 7:15 am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Verify quantities and quality of items for shipping.
• Create the truck log for each delivery truck by zone, ensuring accurate counts and shipper information.
• Record and report shipping data for proper billing to customers.
• Communicate with material coordinators and department shift leads to establish timelines for finished material to be included in deliveries.
• Notify supervisor of any discrepancies, including missed or late orders.
• Load orders onto delivery trucks in a timely manner, according to delivery schedule and with adherence to all safety protocols.
• Ensure all product orders are packaged and wrapped properly for safe and efficient transportation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and order documents
• Able to write clearly
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year shipping experience
• 1 year forklift experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The following environment/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. 

• The noise level in the working environment is loud and is not climate controlled.
• Warehouse temperatures will include extreme hot or cold weather.  
• Able to traverse the warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces.
• Frequent standing, squatting, bending, and kneeling or reaching to successfully perform work duties.
