Systel Careers – Shipping Assistant – Sugar Land, TX

Systel’s business is growing, especially with product which needs conformal coating. We are looking for a bright and motivated individual to join our production team with primary responsibility for conformally coating electronics, both by hand and with our Specialty Coating Systems automated machine. This individual will need to be/become a subject matter expert in programming the machine, reworking boards with conformal coating quality issues, and establishing best practices for conformal coating production. In addition, this individual will need to be a strong team player, focused on helping the overall organization be successful, and flexing over to assist with assembly work when needed.

Who You Are
As a shipping associate you will be responsible ensuring products are accurately packed, labeled, and shipped on time. You thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining high standards of organization for The shipping assistant will perform all the Shipping and other warehouse activities as required.

Responsibilities

All work activities shall be conducted in a manner that supports Systel’s Quality Manual, Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, System Level Procedures (SLP) and Work Instructions (WI).
Making Boxes and packing the computers / parts ready to be shipped.
Maintaining Accessory boxes.
Shipping from MAX and printing Packing List.
Scheduling pick up of shipments and making labels for freight carriers such as UPS, FedEx and DHL.
Supervising pick ups and maintaining end of day reports file for future reference.
Adding freight cost to Sales Order.
Monitoring shipping supplies such as boxes, inserts, plastic bags, labels etc..

Education and Experience

High School or equivalent
3+ years of experience in shipping

Preferred Qualifications

Fedex or other shipping systems
Some International shipping experience
