Shipping Clerk - FT Position

Target Hourly Wage, DOE:

• Shipping Clerk I: $18.50 – $19.50/hr
  


• Shipping Clerk II: $19.75 – $20.75/hr

ADDIUM, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Shipping Clerk, to support its Shipping department, at its headquarters in Pullman, Washington. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in the Shipping Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate unwavering focus and commitment throughout an 8-hour shift, fostering a positive and harmonious work environment. They should take pride in consistently achieving daily individual and team goals. This individual will be expected to become competent in the packaging process within 1-2 weeks and completely proficient and independent within 1 month.

Responsibilities:

The Shipping Clerk examines sales orders, prepares orders for shipment, stocks shipping supplies, tracks orders, and keeps records of outgoing shipments.

• Packs, examines, and routes outgoing shipments.


• Operates lift trucks, hand trucks, and fork lift to convey, move, or hoist items to proper areas.


• Makes arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on orders.


• Maintains an adequate supply of shipping materials in inventory on hand at all times.


• Maintains the work area/equipment in a clean and orderly condition


• Follow prescribed safety regulations.


• Performs all computer functions necessary to track shipments.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 months - 2 years of experience or proficiency.


• Attention to detail.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Self-Motivated.


• Strong time management skills.


• Strong communication skills.


• Basic computer skills.


• Ability to lift 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation.


• Complete a criminal background check within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous shipping or manufacturing experience.


• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.


• Proven experience identifying process improvements.


• Forklift experience and certification.
