Reports To: Logistics Supervisor
Job Overview:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for a variety of physical and administrative tasks involved in order fulfillment and coordination with Warehouse, Project Management, and Planning groups to support daily production and shipping schedules. The Shipping Clerk will also do delivery by company’s van to deliver and/or pick up materials, loads and unloads vehicles, maintains logs of items picked up and delivered, and assists with shipment preparation. Reports to the Logistics Supervisor and is located in Newark, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
Entry of finished goods into Oracle operating system, and maintaining inventory counts
Scanning and packaging of finished goods per work instruction/MPI pending orders to ship
Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges.
Monitor shipping schedules and plan for impending shipments and related functions accordingly.
Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated location.
Correspond with Planners and Project Managers via email regarding order-related issues.
Monitor and maintain shipping supplies, and notify supervisor of low stock
Provide Driving the company vehicles to fulfill pickup and delivery requests.
Maintain the condition of the company vehicles, and notify of needs for service
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
High School Diploma
Microsoft Excel
Clean driving record
