Shipping Clerk

Hours of work:

Monday-Friday 6:30a- 5p 10hr shift, 4days a week. OT is optional-

Flexible 4 day workweek

Summary:

Works under the direction of the Shipping and Receiving lead to handle all packing, loading and unloading trucks, inventory organization and count, forklift operation and packaging inventory on a local level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Other duties may be assigned relative to experience and company needs or at the sole discretion of the employee’s Lead/Manager.

:: Main Responsibilities:

· Operate the forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks.

· Receive raw materials into SAP.

· Pack finished cables into pallets.

· Organize inventory by moving materials to the right location.

· Organize and maintain clean the shipping and receiving area and other storage locations.

· Weekly inventory of packaging materials.

· Monthly inventory of all materials in the plant.

:: Other responsibilities

· Follow all processes and procedures to ensure safety and performance.

Requirements:

Proven experience with forklift operation.

Experience with tools, hammer, drills, etc…

Work ethics.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.

Excellent communication abilities.

High school diploma or GED
