Shipping Coordinator

Description

We are seeking an organized, accountable, detail-minded Shipping Coordinator with a strong customer focus.  The Shipping Coordinator will coordinate the documentation and shipment of the physical warehouse workflow via order entry, bill of ladings, carrier bookings, and any adjustments required to maintain an accurate inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS.)

• Ensure timely processing of sample receipts and allocation of back ordered items.

• Enter sample orders in WMS as requested by customer.

• Enter orders in WMS to mirror ERP request from Customer Service.

• Be key liaison with Customer Service for all inquiries.

• Create bill of ladings by carrier.

• Book all shipments via TMS platform per routing guide.

• Verify goods are loaded out in the WMS.

• Ensure correct auto-notification of shipments are sent to correct customer and customer service.

• Generates daily, weekly, monthly reports as needed.

• Assists Distribution Manager with projects as needed.

• Follow safe practices in job performance.

• Follow the 5S program to ensure areas are organized, cleaned and look for continuous 5S solutions.

Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. 3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution environment.

3. Strong computer skills including MS Office products.

4. Knowledge of WMS systems preferred.

5. Experience working with customers preferred.

6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

7. Good problem solving and decision-making skills.

Hourly Rate:  $21 - $24 hourly + hourly premium

The base salary for this position may vary based on factors such as location, training, skills, and relevant experience. This position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, incentive, or commissions. Bonus or incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
