Shipping Coordinator

American Concrete Products is a leading manufacturer of quality concrete products for various industries. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Concrete Laborer to join our team. We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator who will take customer orders, plan daily logistics and provide other customer service functions for valued customers.

Responsibilities:

• Take customer orders and execute delivery of product.
• Work with in-house and out of house drivers to plan number of loads daily.
• Communicate with Quality Control staff to ensure product is ready to ship.
• Answer and return Customer phone calls in a timely manner and handle issues swiftly and professionally.
• Manage relationship with outside trucking broker(s) to maintain service quality, capacity, and freight budget.
• Address product quality or service gaps with Staff/Vendors and implement procedures to prevent future instances.
• Assist with the management of Customer receivables/credit to minimize impacts on future shipments.

• Prior experience in similar role required
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) (outside customers and inhouse staff)
• Strong computer experience and knowledge in MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
