Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

• Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and methods for providing customer service. Meeting quality standards and evaluating customer service, whether internal or external.
• Experience with spreadsheet or database software such as Microsoft Excel.
• Mathematics.- Knowledge of arithmetic and statistics.

• Employees will process orders based on the customer's preferred shipping method (i.e., UPS, FedEx, freight forwarder)
  • These duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Coordinating deliveries to customers
    • Preparing shipping documents and labels that correspond to customer needs.
    • Maintaining good relationships with shipping companies
    • Working effectively with the sales department.

• ECCN / Export Controls: Working knowledge of export classification (ECCN) and export documentation; able to support classifications and compliance data when we act as exporter of record, including coordination with internal stakeholders and our customs broker.
• HTS / Tariff classification: Experience assigning or validating HTS codes and understanding tariff/duty impacts when we are responsible for classification; able to partner with a broker to confirm classifications and resolve discrepancies.
• ACE portal / U.S. customs processes: Familiarity with the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and common customs-entry data elements; able to perform applicable ACE-related activities and/or provide accurate data to our broker for entry.
• Customs issue resolution: Proven ability to troubleshoot and “unstick” delayed international shipments (e.g., holds, missing documentation, exams) by driving timely communication with customers (for customer-routed freight), freight forwarders, and our customs broker.
• International shipping documentation: Experience preparing and validating commercial invoices, certificates of origin, AES/EEI workflows (as applicable), and other documents required by destination, Incoterms, and broker/customer requirements; ensures data accuracy to prevent delays.
