Job Description
Inspired Flight Technologies is looking to expand its Logistics team with the addition of a Shipping Coordinator. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end shipping and receiving operations that keep our drone manufacturing supply chain running smoothly, ensuring parts and finished products move efficiently and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
This role will report directly to the VP of Operations within the Logistics department. This is a prime opportunity for a highly motivated and creative professional that thrives in a startup environment and is looking for career development and advancement.
Typical responsibilities:
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with freight carriers, couriers, and third-party logistics providers
Prepare and process shipping documentation including packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and commercial invoices
Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including ITAR, hazmat, and export control requirements relevant to drone and aerospace products
Receive incoming materials and components, verify against purchase orders, and document discrepancies or damages
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in the ERP system
Coordinate with the inventory and purchasing teams to ensure timely fulfillment of outbound orders and availability of inbound materials
Monitor carrier performance, track shipments, and proactively resolve delivery issues or delays
Maintain an organized and safe shipping and receiving area in accordance with company standards
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits as needed
Identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs and improve logistics processes
You’ll excel in this role if you have:
Experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with ERP systems for order and inventory management
Working knowledge of domestic freight and small parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.)
Understanding of export regulations and compliance requirements (ITAR experience a plus)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment
Experience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, or defense
Education/Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred
