Shipping Forklift Operator

We are seeking experienced and reliable Forklift Drivers to join our Cold Storage Shipping team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts in a cold environment, loading and unloading trucks, and safely handling product stored in 3-tier racking systems. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate shipments of perishable goods. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a cold storage environment.
• Load and unload trucks with packaged product according to shipping schedules.
• Move product in and out of 3-tier racking systems with precision.
• Ensure accurate placement of pallets using RF scanners or shipping documentation.
• Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines in a cold storage facility.
• Communicate effectively with the shipping and QA team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience (shipping and cold storage).
• Proficient with loading/unloading and high racking systems (3 tiers).
• Must be able to work in a cold environment (around 32°F / 0°C).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Previous forklift certification a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
