We are an industrial textile manufacturer, best known for our federal government contracting work and have produced several thousand national stock numbered (NSN) lines for a variety of federal agencies, large and small OEM organizations, as well as individuals who want to see their product taken from concept to product. With over 250 industrial sewing machines (single needle, double needle, box "X", bar tackers and programmables) and several radio frequency, hot wedge and hot fabric welders, we're prepared to manufacture to established product configuration. We also offers a full complement of engineering services. Whether you need design assistance, prototypes or product evaluation, our experienced engineers are ready to put our CAD system to work for you. If a fabric can be cut, sewn, glued, snapped, buttoned, buckled, cinched, clipped, riveted, welded or otherwise bonded, we can fashion it into a product to fit your specifications.

Job Description: Shipping Lead
Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all shipping tasks required to ensure satisfied customers, internal and external.
Perform all department tasks in a timely and economical manner.
Communicate and coordinate with production, quality and finance teams to ensure smooth, efficient and on time processing of jobs through shipping department.
Coordinate with transportation vendors for pick ups
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies
Read job paperwork to determine required packaging and shipping methods
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Performs other duties assigned by management

Qualifications:

Experience in manufacturing environment with at least 2 years of shipping experience in a leadership role.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced non-aerospace environment.
Knowledgeable in MS Office applications.
Previous ERP systems and shipping applications experience.
Energetic, hardworking with a positive attitude.
Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptions
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively across organization
Must be detail orientated. Accuracy is crucial.
Must be able to work standing and/or sitting 10 hrs. per day as required.
Must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. as required.
Must be able to operate a forklift.

Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Thurs. 6:30a–5:00p. Overtime on Fri/Sat as needed.
