Job Description - Shipping Lead/Supervisor

Shipping Supervisor – Final Product Handling

Overview:
This position oversees the final stages of product handling and shipment, specifically working with various metal alloys. The role includes managing pallet assembly, shipment prep, documentation, and loading of outbound trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and assist in preparing items for shipment or return.

Operate marking/banding machines and verify product labeling.

Complete shipping documents (e.g., packing slips, bills of lading).

Confirm product matches shipping orders; ensure proper sign-offs.

Perform basic equipment maintenance and verify product weight/condition.

Load/unload trucks and coordinate with drivers and external carriers.

Address and resolve shipping issues.

Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Qualifications:

U.S. citizenship required.

Prior supervisory or lead experience in shipping.

Skilled in operating forklifts and power tools (e.g., nail guns, grinders).

Spanish language skills a plus.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Previous experience in a shipping lead or supervisory role.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Requires sitting, walking, bending, and manual handling.

Regular use of hands, close vision, and focus adjustments needed.

Work Environment:

Variable noise levels; physical warehouse setting.
