Job Description - Shipping Planner (A Group SCM Building2 )-Houston,TX
Purpose of the position To ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers by effectively planning, coordinating, and executing shipment activities. This role serves as a key liaison between production, warehouse, logistics, and customers to align shipment schedules, optimize transportation efficiency, and resolve delivery-related issues, ensuring high service levels and customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly shipment schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and commit dates.
Coordinate with production, PMC, and warehouse teams to ensure shipment readiness and on-time dispatch.
Monitor order status and prioritize urgent or high-impact shipments based on business needs.
Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of shipping documents (e.g., invoice, packing list, shipping labels).
Collaborate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and carriers to arrange transportation and optimize delivery routes.
Track shipment status and proactively communicate updates, risks, or delays to internal teams and customers.
Work closely with customs teams to ensure smooth import/export clearance and regulatory compliance.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve shipment-related issues such as delays, shortages, or damages.
Maintain accurate shipment records and generate reports.
Education and work experience
Degree required: bachelor’s degree or above
Experience in logistics within the electronics manufacturing industry is preferred.
