SUMMARY
Monitors receiving and shipping traffic/freight for warehouse to ensure customer service levels are met. Ensures efficient utilization of receiving docks and efficient supply of materials to and from contract manufacturers. Oversees all receiving areas of the facility and ensures product is received in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT
Supports a culture of safe production and exhibits safe work practices. Actively participates in the safety program by engaging in safety activities. Effectively provides and accepts constructive peer-to-peer feedback on safety performance. Adheres to policies, procedures, SOP’s, and safe work practices. Reports ALL workplace incidents to supervisor immediately. Communicates concerns to supervisor, reports hazards, and provides input on prevention. Properly uses, wears, and stores Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. Participates on safety teams and/or completes safety-related activities as part of regular job responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
PERFORMANCE ABILITY
Strong knowledge of receiving area to make decisions on inbound receivables ensuring orders are received in compliance with SOP’s. Collaborates with other departments and vendors to resolve errors and/or damages. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet quality, safety, and efficiency goals. Excellent critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members from various departments. Demonstrates high quality of work. Strong time management skills: ability to prioritize and calmly manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet targets in a demanding environment. Demonstrates a keen sense of urgency and flexibility to change tasks frequently based on business needs. Leads by example, acts as a role model on the floor, and models NOW’s core values and tenets. Demonstrates ability through certification to work as a Material Handler I or Material Handler II.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Effective verbal and written communication skills (ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.) Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions regarding operational procedures. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Collaborates with cross-functioning teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives with both internal and external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages.

Works in all areas of NOW’s manufacturing facilities with direct exposure to ingredients (powders and liquids), mixes (powders and liquids), equipment, and packaging.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud, and in some areas where louder hearing protection is required.
