Shipping Technician

Job Summary:   Coordinates activities for the preparation and shipment of patient specific equipment and engaged in the handling of incoming and outgoing shipments and other warehouse related activities. 

Essential Functions: 

• Ensure accurate inventory by verifying correct part assignments in all order entry systems at time of shipment and accurate packing ensuring that what is on the order is what is shipped.  

• Ensure that warehouse is maintained in compliance with all standards so that is always inspection ready.  

• Ensure accurate and timely shipments.  

• Monitor orders/work orders ready to ship in all platforms to ensure that delivery expectations are met.  

• Ensure that all necessary paperwork is sent with each order.  

• Ensure appropriate order entry completion on every order.  

• Reduce shipping costs by verifying appropriate selection in UPS Worldship software. 

• Coordinate all aspects of equipment returns by ensuring accurate count and product selection of all returned items; and ensure that equipment “dirty area” is always clean and inspection ready in accordance with compliance standards. 

• Assists with related special projects as .   

• Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures.  

• Works effectively with other company employees, managers, and departments.  

• Performs other duties as assigned  

• Performs all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind. 

Supervisory Functions: This position has no supervisory requirements.  

Job Requirements and Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months industry related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Other Requirements:  

• Must demonstrate proficient ability and practical knowledge of computers, software, and products applicable to the industry. Additionally, the applicant is expected to demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of departmental program structure (Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements) and department policies and procedures. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed, and have the ability to demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently and supervising others.
