POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Mass Finishing Inc is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The primary function of the Material Handler is to move and pick materials, supplies, and finished goods and then prepare for shipping to our customers. The Material Handler will be responsible for pulling orders off the shelves and shipping them via UPS or LTL services.  This will involve packing goods securely and completing the paperwork required for shipping.   This person would also be a back-up for mixing corn cob medias. This person needs to be able to work on their own at a pace set by deadlines to meet on-time deliveries to our customers. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTUIONS:

· Responsible for the unloading and loading of trucks, vans, flatbeds, using a forklift.

· Handling of material and product within the shipping and receiving area and throughout the manufacturing departments as required.

· Efficient and accurate picking of finished parts to prepare for shipments

· Data entry of orders into the ERP system to create packing slips

· Follows safety guidelines for forklift operation.

· Keep area organized and clean

· Responsible for Receiving in shipments of media & compounds and confirming quantity received

· Highschool Diploma or equivalent

· Strong computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel and Word.

· Experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment working in shipping/receiving. 

· Detail oriented with high accuracy. 

· Strong organizational skills, and ability to set and prioritize goals. 

· Excellent interpersonal skills. 

· Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a responsible manner.
