Shipyard Helper

Position Summary:

Talent Source is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Shipyard Helpers to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a shipyard environment and be able to assist in a variety of tasks that support shipbuilding and maintenance operations. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  Assist skilled tradespeople such as welders, pipefitters, and electricians with daily shipyard tasks

  
  


• 
  

  Handle tools, materials, and equipment required for shipyard operations

  
  


• 
  

  Perform general labor, including cleaning and preparing work areas

  
  


• 
  

  Load and unload materials and supplies

  
  


• 
  

  Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times

  
  


• 
  

  Help maintain a clean and organized worksite

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  Previous shipyard experience is required

  
  


• 
  

  Must be able to work overtime when needed

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  
  


• 
  

  Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods

  
  


• 
  

  Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic

  
  


• 
  

  Must have reliable transportation

  
  

Salary Range: $18.00–$21.00 per hour
