ABOUT THIS JOB:

Our Shirt Press Machine Operator runs an automatic shirt press machine alongside the rest of the shirt press team in an efficient manner. This person has the stamina to operate the machine throughout the day. While members of the shirt press team assist in the processes associated with press operation, the Machine Operator ensures that the machine is printing properly and that colors match the order’s specified colors.

• Mix ink to achieve accurate color
• Double check logos (color, placement, and quality)
• Create minimal waste
• Function in a fast-paced environment
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Handle efficiently iPads and computers
• Follow standard processes set for each task
• Manage time efficiently
• Meet goals for each process assigned
• Work with management professionally to maintain quality and efficiency
• Ensure that all waste is reported accurately
• Communicate with other departments to meet customers’ needs
• Accept and apply feedback given by management and peers
• Learn multiple roles in the apparel line

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 1 year of shirt press machine operating experience
• Ability to work in a standing position for 6-8 hours a day
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Effective communicate with team members at all levels
• Strong attention to detail, even with repetitive processes
• Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal
• Efficient under deadlines and quotas

*Special consideration for prior Screen Printing experience

THIS POSITION REPORTS TO:

• Shirt Press Fulfillment Manager

SCHEDULE:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (Full-time)

WORK SPACE INFO:

This job operates in a warehouse environment which requires standing, moving, lifting, and operating machinery and computers. Personal Protection Equipment may be required. Safety training is mandatory and employees must be able to pass basic safety requirements.

TRAINING:

Training for this position will be completed by the department manager. Training will consist of education on key processes, preparation and staging requirements by customer, location of tools, supplies and materials. You will be trained on how to use the order interface, how to properly read orders and where to look for notes. Additional training will be completed as processes evolve or as required.
