🔧 About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Shop Assistant Apprentice who is ready to roll up their sleeves and learn the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, and fabrication work. You’ll work directly with Mark Richards, a master of his trade, who has launched 400+ products over a 35-year career in entrepreneurship, manufacturing, and innovation.

This role is perfect for someone who may not have experience—but has curiosity, mechanical inclination, and a strong desire to learn. Whether your background is tinkering, repairing things around the house, or simply wanting to know how things work, this is where you start turning that interest into a career.

🧰 What You'll Do

Assist in fabricating and assembling custom projects, including:

SolarX builds

Polyclean sorting trucks

Learn to operate equipment such as:

Fiber laser cutters

Press brakes

Robotic welders

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings (training provided)

Support testing and troubleshooting prototypes

Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace

Contribute ideas and effort to team problem-solving

🧠 Who We're Looking For

You Are:

Willing to listen, learn, and do

Naturally curious about mechanical systems and tools

Good with your hands and precise with tasks

Comfortable working in an active, fast-paced shop

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet throughout the day

Someone who brings a positive attitude and takes pride in a job well done

Bonus (Not required):

Experience or hobbies in welding, fabrication, automotive work, or DIY projects
