General Description

Under the direction of the Assembly Manager, the assistant will perform a variety of duties in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Assist assemblers as needed to achieve company goals.
2. Responsible for supporting needs around the shop, acting as an extra set of hands and picking hardware for current jobs.
3. Assist with picking and pulling parts for the shop as needed. Also, assist in the paint area prepping parts for painting.
4. Learning and assisting with Wheel Build & Separator areas for the Assembly team.
5. Assist with other duties in the shop as needed.

• Must be able to read computer generated reports. Must be able to read a tape measure.
• A valid driver's license.
• Age 18 or older
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Willing to learn and be flexible.

Education and/or Experience

• Forklift experience and/or Overhead Crane experience preferred

• HS Diploma/HSED/GED or equivalent

Work Environment

This job operates in a factory environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Safety glasses must always be worn while on the shop floor, along with steel toed boots. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions such as hot, cold, raining, ect. The noise level in the work environment is often loud enough to require hearing protection as well.
