As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Prefab Manager.

What it takes:

• Maintain and promote a strong health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) culture for all employees, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to comply with HSEQ policies, procedures, regulations, and continual improvement objectives. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and risks with a commitment to correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe or nonconforming actions or conditions.


• Support the maintenance of safety barricading in the yard.


• Organize and stack yard dunnage.


• Empty and dispose of trash.


• Clean and sanitize and stock bathroom facilities as needed.


• Stay aware of areas and objects that need repair and notify the shop supervisor of any major repairs needed.


• Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of work areas.

Desired Qualifications:

• Basic computer proficiency


• Mechanical aptitude


• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team
