Shop Cleaner

SUMMARY

Keeps the service entrance bay and technician bays clean and tidy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Washes shop truck, inside and out.

• Cleans for lift and power equipment.

• Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside.

• Removes all debris from the lot.

• Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures.

• Removes any old scrap parts from shop after checking with parts manager.

• Returns cores to storage area.

• Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.

• Runs errands as directed by service manager.

• Sweeps technician stalls and service department floors.

• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

• Understands and compiles with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state and local regulations.

• Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.

• Keeps current on all training requirements; such as GM training, Compliance training and other training as assigned by manager.

• Sets a good example by maintaining a healthy work demeanor and cooperating with other managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Represents Puklich Chevrolet positively when out in the community.
