Shop Foreman

Key Millwork is seeking a hands-on, skilled Production Shop Foreman to lead daily operations in our architectural casework and millwork facility. This role requires an expert-level understanding of commercial cabinet production and woodworking craftsmanship, combined with strong leadership, delegation, and organizational abilities. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of shop floor execution, ensuring that production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on job and will not require office work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and supervise shop floor personnel across all stages of production.


• Interpret production drawings, schedules, and work orders to delegate tasks efficiently.


• Oversee CNC programming, setup, and operation, ensuring precision and output efficiency.


• Manage material flow, job prioritization, and task delegation to meet project timelines.


• Maintain quality control across cabinet construction, finishing, and final assembly.


• Collaborate with engineering/drafting & PM teams to resolve issues and ensure design intent is maintained.


• Ensure safety protocols, shop cleanliness, and equipment maintenance standards are upheld.


• Take full ownership of assigned production goals and continuously look for process improvements.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or millwork environment.


• Advanced knowledge of CNC programming (e.g., Microvellum, AutoCAD-based systems).


• Master-level wood craftsmanship and cabinet construction expertise.


• Deep understanding of commercial architectural casework and AWI standards.


• Strong ability to delegate, prioritize tasks, and maintain accountability across teams.


• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
