Shop Foreman

The Shop Foreman is responsible for supervising daily shop operations, ensuring production schedules are met, enforcing safety policies, and leading a team of production workers. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate workflow, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  Oversee and coordinate daily manufacturing operations and shop floor activities.

  Assign tasks and monitor the performance of production workers, welders, assemblers, machinists, or other shop employees.

  Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.

  Lead by example to promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

  Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.

  Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to resolve production issues.

  Train and mentor employees on procedures, equipment, safety, and company policies.

  Track inventory of materials and supplies and report shortages.

  Maintain documentation for work performed, inspections, and productivity reports.
