Shop Foreman

Skills & Abilities:

• Possess the skills and natural ability to understand and repair systems on medium & heavy-duty trucks: (A/C, Brakes, Diesel Engine, Differential, HVAC, Electrical, Exhaust, Steering, Suspension)


• A willingness to continue learning systems in a vehicle


• Ability to learn state-of-the art diagnostic techniques to repair malfunctions on vehicle systems within standard rate times (SRT)


• Completes assigned training within set time requirements


• Keeps abreast of industry changes

Shop Foreman Duties:

• Supports service advisors and experienced technicians  


• Assists with the planning, training and development of junior technicians


• Motivates all technicians in the shop to excel in skills & abilities


• Oversees diagnostics, repairs and maintenance


• Ensures that all technicians understand and follow warranty procedures


• Enforces safety protocols in the shop


• Oversees the quality of work before trucks are delivered to customers


• Communicates vital information with all service personnel


• Maintains a clean and organized shop environment

Qualifications:

• Has a clean driving record


• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required


• At least eighteen (18) years old


• Work attendance is in good standing


• Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 75 lbs. with assistance.


• A degree/certification in Diesel Technology, Diesel Ag or Automotive or equivalent work experience


• Computer skills


• Experience working on International/Cummins/Allison preferred, but not required
