CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Shop Manager

Position Summary:

The Shop Manager is responsible for all materials, tools, vehicle and grounds maintenance. Must maintain a safe operating area and assure all material is in safe operating order.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain company fleet and make recommendations for replacement or repair.


2. Manage DOT inspections on all Vehicles and trailers.


3. Perform quarterly inspections on each vehicle.


4. Responsible for maintaining grounds and providing security for materials that are stored outside including but not limited to trailers, lifts, vehicles.


5. Handle all returns to return to Fergusons.


6. Responsible for maintaining all tool inventory including signing the in/out.


7. Must perform Inspections on all tools, welders, and trailers to assure that everything is functioning properly and safely.

• If tools, welders, trailers are in disrepair must repair or coordinate the repairs as needed.

1. Tracking the number of trailers on sites and in lot.


2. Responsible for all material orders.

Minimum Job Requirements:

1. Strong Communication and relationship building Skills.


2. High school diploma or GED preferred.


3. Strong organizational skills.

1. Minimal trip mileage


2. Inventory reduction


3. Tool inventory variance


4. Material orders accuracy


5. Lost time from tool failures
