Deflex Composite specializes in the manufacturing of fiberglass components. To support its New Hampshire facility, the company is looking for an experienced Shop Manager who can oversee daily operations, lead a team of approximately seven employees, and maintain a stable and well-organized work environment.
This role is not about rebuilding everything from the ground up. The focus will be on supporting the operations already in place, strengthening day-to-day structure, and becoming the main point of contact for both employees and customers.
Your Role
As a hands-on manager, you will stay close to the production floor and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. You will work closely with the leadership team located at the company's main facility in Saint-Victor, Quebec, which will continue to oversee several administrative functions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Planning and supervising daily production activities
Leading, supporting, and developing a team of approximately seven employees
Assigning work and following up on priorities
Ensuring quality standards and delivery deadlines are met
Helping the team resolve production and operational issues
Acting as the primary point of contact for customers
Maintaining clear communication with the Canadian leadership team
Supporting and strengthening existing processes and procedures
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow
Promoting a safe and organized workplace
Traveling occasionally to the main facility in Saint-Victor, Quebec
What We Are Looking For
Solid experience in production supervision, shop management, or a similar leadership role
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to lead a small team with a practical, structured, and hands-on approach
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Good judgment, autonomy, and a strong sense of accountability
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and leadership
Availability to attend training and occasional meetings in Canada
Experience with fiberglass components or composite materials is an asset
Ability to communicate in French is a strong asset
Why Consider This Opportunity?
A key leadership role where your contribution will have a direct and visible impact
An established team and existing operations to support and strengthen
A mandate focused on stability, structure, and operational efficiency
A supported transition with a member of the leadership team
Ongoing support from the Canadian head office
Training provided at the main facility in Saint-Victor, Quebec
Direct access to employees, customers, and company decision-makers
If you enjoy being close to the production floor, supporting your team, and solving operational challenges, this opportunity will allow you to take ownership of a small facility while benefiting from the support of an established organization.
