WhereYou’llFit:
Inch&Co Outdoor is seeking a skilled and reliable Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair landscaping and construction equipment, as well as company fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including trucks, trailers, skid steers, excavators, mowers, and small engines. This role ensures that all company assets are operating efficiently and safely to support daily operations.
WhatYou’llBuild:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on landscaping and construction equipment
Perform routine maintenance on company fleet vehicles (trucks, trailers, etc.) including oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and inspections to ensure DOT, OSHA, and company safety compliance
Weld and fabricate parts as needed for equipment repairs
Order and manage parts and supplies inventory; maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs
Provide emergency roadside assistance for fleet vehicles as needed
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment

Your Foundation:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training a plus
2–5 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of landscaping/construction equipment and fleet vehicles
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems; ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
Welding and fabrication skills preferred
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not
Must own basic hand tools; specialized tools provided as needed
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
