Job Description - Shop Service Mechanic - Equipment Remanufacture

H&K Equipment is the premier supplier of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more in Pittsburgh and the tristate area. Located minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and with additional facilities in West Virginia, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild the most unique selection of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment in the industry. We are known for technicians and in-house capabilities that regularly tackle jobs that no other shop can handle.

We are seeking an Equipment Remanufacture Technician with heavy equipment experience to join our Pittsburgh area team for immediate hire to complete remanufacture various types of material handling equipment and forklifts at our shop in Coraopolis, PA. This position will require a candidate who can work with limited supervision and has the ability to think and operate independently. Must have your own tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completely teardown heavy lift equipment.
Replace or remanufacture various components.
Build various heavy lift equipment from frame up.
Build and replace hydraulic hoses and components.
Replace electrical harnesses and components.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Hydraulic and diesel experience necessary.
Strong electrical aptitude necessary.
Electrical / hydraulic schematic reading is necessary.
Test equipment after assembly to guarantee proper performance and compliance with the manufacturer's specifications.
Prior mechanical and technical experience on large mobile equipment preferred.
Attention to detail, planning skills, and organization necessary.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical exam, and background check.
