Shop Staff

A Sign Shop Staff must possess good knowledge of computer skills and be proficient in the use of graphics software including but not exclusive to Adobe and Tagify. Must also possess excellent product knowledge to be able to design promotional products for maximum sales. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

·         Designs and lays out a wide variety of traffic, direction, information, decals and other signs primarily through the use of computerized graphics workstations and output plotters.

·         May modify existing sign files to meet current needs and maintains graphics files for future use. 

·         Perform large format print production and finishing on signs and banners including laminating, mounting to substrate, trimming, adding grommets and cutting.

·         All duties performed by the sign shop personnel will also be shared with the Sign Shop Manager. 

·         Procurement of supplies as it pertains to the sign shop.  

·         advise and enter requests from customers who require special signage 

·         Participate in special projects and ideas in conjunction with Sales Reps to promote products.  

·         Trouble shoot any machinery or printers throughout the day.  

·         Creates and designs sings and graphics to promote our products.  

·         Communicate with Management on status of projects  

·         Identify and solve any deficiencies with quality or non-conformity with product.  

·         Any other essential job functions as assigned by General Manager.  

Job Requirements 

·         High School diploma required. 

·         Prior experience in digital large format printing and vinyl graphics.  

·         Have prior experience in using Adobe Illustrator and/or Tagify

·         Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. 

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, it will primarily be a desk position using the computer. This will consist of sitting, using the hands, fingers, and wrists. Minimal lifting will be required to move files or boxes.
