Shop Supervisor

Position Summary

MMBR Systems, LLC, an Integrated Water Services (IWS) company, is seeking a highly motivated Shop Supervisor who will be responsible for leading assembly and warehouse operations at our new North Austin, TX facility. This role oversees production staff, ensures quality and safety standards are met, and drives efficient, on-time delivery of membrane system components and equipment.

A key focus of this role is supporting the successful transfer and startup of production operations, while building a high-performing team and establishing scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shop personnel, including hiring, training, and day-to-day performance management
• Transfer and stand up membrane product assembly operations from an existing facility into the Austin location
• Plan and manage production schedules to meet delivery timelines and operational targets
• Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, storage, and shipping using ERP systems
• Ensure products are assembled, packaged, and delivered according to technical and quality standards
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and conduct regular safety inspections
• Identify process improvements and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate resources including labor, materials, tools, and equipment to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate production records and provide operational reporting to management
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, quality, and purchasing teams

Required:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and material handling
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems for inventory and production tracking
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CPIM, or Certified Production Technician (CPT)

Physical & Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to equipment and moderate noise
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate material handling equipment
• May require extended hours, overtime, or occasional weekend work
