Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Shop Support Technician to assist daily operations in our precision machining facility. This role is essential in maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient shop environment, and supporting production teams with a variety of logistical and technical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Handle movement and staging of raw materials, parts, and tooling
- Support machine operators and inspectors with daily shop needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop floor, tool room, and work areas
- Assist with coolant changes, chip removal, and basic maintenance tasks
- Perform incoming and outgoing part handling, labeling, and documentation
- Perform basic ERP transactions such as issuing materials, confirming job status, and logging part movements
- Support general facility upkeep and shop safety protocols
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Basic understanding of machining or inspection operations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and shop safety practices
- Willingness to grow into a more technical role
