Shop-Field Service Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities

• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures


• Must be able to read scanners, and perform preventive maintenance work per the manufactures recommendation.


• Must have on the job work experience to work on multiple types of manufactured vehicles, trailers, diggers, aerial bucket trucks, and all types of heavy equipment 


• Troubleshoot all types of mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical system


• Must be able to fabricate 2 years minimum of welding experience and use of a cutting torch, grinders etc.


• Must be an efficient and effective performer.


• Ability to pivot and multi-task as needed/required on the job.


• Must be a team player.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED


• Certifications and or a degree related to this field is a plus


• You must provide all your own tools, specialty tools provided by company


• A minimum of two (2) years of working experience with heavy machinery and/or utility/construction equipment


• Current and active Commercial Driver's License or working on obtaining one.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of 4+ years consecutive worked as mechanic experience


• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.


• Minimum of 4+ years consecutive working experience with utility-type equipment


• Able to work in a fast-past environment, and prioritize the work loads 


• Minimum of 4+ years consecutive basic computer skills

Work Environment Considerations:

• Ability to stand on concrete to perform daily duties (7.5 hours @ a time)


• Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles.


• Tolerable to heights no exceptions 


• Ability to work indoors and outdoors (hot and cold temperature)
