Position Summary:
The Shop/Hydro Helper assists in hydrostatic testing, finned tube bundle cleaning, handling, and supporting assembly and inspection processes. Reporting to fin-tube production or quality leads, this role ensures bundles meet structural and cleanliness standards before shipment or installation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform hydrostatic testing on tube bundles to ASME standards, supporting quality and safety requirements.
• Assist in tube and bundle cleaning, including compressed air reverse airflow cleaning for debris removal to optimize heat transfer.
• Aid in finning machine setup, tube preparation, material handling, and staging bundles for processing.
• Support material handling, including lifting and staging tube sections and bundles.
• Assist inspection tasks by helping evaluate headers, plug seals, and bundle integrity.
• Support technicians during component repairs, such as plug replacement, tube re-rolling, header maintenance, or bundle rework.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and adhere to environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and simple hydraulic tools.
• Strong work ethic, team-oriented, and committed to a safe working environment.
• Willingness to work with compressed air systems and assist in hands-on inspection and maintenance processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50lbs+ as needed.
• Stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl for extended periods of time as needed.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
