About the Role:
Simplehuman is seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to assist in website development, UI/UX optimization and international expansion. We're looking for someone to work alongside our in-house developer to bring our design and user experience to life. This role supports our e-commerce team and reports to the E-Commerce Developer Lead. The ideal candidate should be able to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment, and has a disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance. This is a full-time position.  A local Los Angeles candidate is preferred, and would sit in our Torrance, CA office. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop on the Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid programming language and third-party apps


• Write clean and scalable HTML, CSS, JavaScript code and contribute to front-end style guide


• Within a custom theme, be able to build custom Shopify sections, Shopify functions and maintain and enhance existing Shopify Plus e-commerce website(s)


• Work with designers and developers to produce responsive front-end experiences that engage visitors and convert them into customers


• Integrate and rigorously test third party applications for Shopify

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years experience working within the Shopify Plus platform


• 3-5+ years working with modern technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3 experience


• 3-5+ years experience working with Liquid, Node.js, React/Vue, JSON, JQuery, XML and AJAX, TailwindCSS as necessary


• Proficiency with any of the following Shopify features and third-party apps considered a plus: Accelerated Payments (Shopify Pay, ApplePay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal, etc); Klaviyo, Yotpo/Swell, ReCharge, Shopify Flows, Shopify Functions, Metaobjects


• Experience developing and maintaining localized International e-commerce websites is a plus


• Design and UI/UX experience considered a plus


• Excellent QA practices, cross browser testing and debugging


• Experience developing full stack solutions


• Strong understanding of e-commerce inventory management & partner/network utilization


• Positive attitude, high energy, and love for broadening web development skill set


• Strong worth ethic and attention to detail
