Job Description - Showroom Coordinator


Symbiotic Services is seeking a Showroom Coordinator to manage freight and deliveries, maintain showroom layouts per floor plans, and handle showroom signage and inventory. The role also includes working with security and support services and fulfilling shipping duties.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Coordinate deliveries of showroom samples, props, and miscellaneous supplies.

  • Schedule and manage incoming and outgoing trucks with shipping vendors and commercial landlords.

  • Unload and unwrap incoming samples, maintaining the showroom’s cleanliness and organization.

  • Order and maintain wrapping materials, showroom tools, and supplies.

  • Schedule and oversee temporary labor during Market cycle months for showroom set-up and tear-down.

  • Inventory and tag incoming/outgoing products using a scanning system or Excel notation.

  • Manage real-time showroom sample inventory.

  • Read floor plans for sample placement for Markets and special events.

  • Perform light construction within the showroom, including painting, repairs, mounting TVs, hanging art, etc.

  • Oversee the general upkeep of the showroom and interior property.

  • Manage security systems and coordinate with vendors for maintenance, pest control, and inspections.

  • Execute onsite retail signage installations as needed, with occasional travel.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to drive rental box trucks and travel for supply pickups as needed.


Minimum Requirements



  • High School Diploma.

  • Weekend availability twice yearly during April and October Market set-ups.

  • Two or more years of experience within furniture showrooms or similar environments.

  • Occasional travel to retail stores nationally (once every two months or as needed).


Physical Requirements



  • Desk-based tasks at a workstation.

  • Frequent walking during Market seasons or events.

  • Operating computer and keyboard for data entry.

  • Communication via phone, email, and in-person with teams and vendors.

  • Unloading and unboxing furniture from trucks.
