Core2 Planning (Shutdown Planner II:)

As a Shutdown Planner (Planner II) at Bayer Soda Springs, you play a pivotal role in facilitating the World Class Maintenance Process. Your expertise in planning, scheduling, coordination, and leadership is crucial to efficiently organizing and executing area shutdowns. Collaborating closely with leadership in operating units, maintenance, and engineering, you ensure the planned scope is communicated, refined, and finalized, adapting to any changes during execution.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the shutdown planning process by organizing upfront planning meetings with all participants, including maintenance, production, stores, purchasing, safety, and engineering;
• Create shutdown logic networks and work schedules using critical path management processes;
• Communicate and help manage Critical Path Maintenance schedules during shutdown execution;
• Train and develop other planners in shutdown processes and shutdown software;
• Ensure operations and maintenance are closing completed shutdown work orders with appropriate history during shutdown;
• Plan and maintain shutdown work order backlogs;
• Procure long delivery items and services and obtain equipment needed to execute shutdown work;
• Create, update, and monitor task lists and maintenance plans;
• Assist with other manufacturing work planning when scheduled;
• Collaborate with Storeroom personnel and WCM Systems Specialist to update, maintain, and monitor parts lists, BOMs, and technical object structure;
• Perform other duties and fulfill responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED;
• Valid Driver's License;
• Minimum two years as a Planner within a Bayer Facility; OR
• Minimum two years of previous shutdown management experience in an industrial, chemical, or other applicable facility; OR
• Minimum two years of maintenance management or other applicable management experience with maintenance work execution experience; OR
• Minimum of two years as an Operations Specialist at a Bayer Facility; OR
• Minimum of five years ias an area operator with extensive shutdown knowledge and experience in a production area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and understanding of SAP;
• Experience and application of using the MOC process;
• In-depth understanding of and ability to use SAP;
• Knowledge of or experience with execution of maintenance work;
• Ability to read and understand drawings to comprehend design and installation information;
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and team skills to maintain effective working relationships and communication.
• Knowledge of Critical Path Method of planning and experience with associated shutdown software.
