Job Description - SIGDEV Analyst 1 (PIPELINE)

Description:



Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Level 1 Signals Development (SIGDEV) Analyst to support a dynamic, fast-paced watch center operating in a 24/7 mission environment. This is a future/pipeline opportunity intended to support upcoming program needs. The position is open to qualified CCA candidates.


In this role, you will support the performance and reliability of mission systems by helping maintain and optimize operational access points. You'll work with communication technologies spanning voice, data, and network-based platforms, contributing to the collection and flow of information that supports broader mission objectives.


This is a hands-on position that blends basic system operations, troubleshooting, and analytic support. You'll interact with Linux-based systems, assist with configuration and monitoring activities, and help ensure systems remain functional and aligned with operational requirements.


We're looking for someone who is technically curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment. You should be able to follow established procedures, perform basic troubleshooting, and contribute to documentation updates as needed.


This role supports continuous operations with fixed (non-rotating) shifts. Available schedules include day shift (0545-1345), swing shift (1345-2145), and mid shift (2145-0545), with coverage that includes weekends and some holidays. You'll be part of a team-oriented environment that emphasizes consistency, reliability, and continuous learning.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Support the monitoring and maintenance of systems used in ongoing operations

  • Assist in maintaining and optimizing system access points and configurations

  • Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve system or data flow issues

  • Work within Linux-based environments, including command-line interfaces

  • Support data collection activities and ensure proper data flow between systems

  • Assist with configuration tasks, including updates related to system endpoints

  • Follow established procedures and standard operating guidelines

  • Contribute to documentation updates and ensure accuracy of operational records

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain system reliability and continuity

  • Support a continuous operations environment as part of a shift-based team



Qualifications:




  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical, analytical, or operational support role

  • Experience working with Linux operating systems, including command-line usage

  • Familiarity with data collection systems or similar technical environments

  • Experience supporting data flow, system configuration, or related activities

  • Basic troubleshooting skills in a technical or systems environment

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain documentation


Desired Skills:




  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)

  • Familiarity with Apache NiFi or similar data flow management tools

  • Understanding of network protocols and how data moves across systems

  • Exposure to satellite communications (SATCOM) technologies
