Summary of Position:
Looking for a profesional with an outgoing personality for top area sign company at it’s Newton location.
Ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and must have a computer or graphics training or related degree.
Job includes design with client contact follow through. A typical day would have clients communicating with you through email or in person. You would either design from your ideas, from the clients ideas or manipulate client provided artwork.
you will ultimately be putting their personal touch locally and glabaly as the signs designed, will appear everywhere.
For production, you wil be responsible for preparing substrates/media and producing graphic / signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline. You will be responsible for running a variety of production equipment that they will be trained to operate. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining a neat and organized work area.
Qualifications& Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Professional, upbeat, positive attitude.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Keen multi-tasking abilities.
- Knowledge of sign industry substrates, media, products a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral team member.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse customer/prospect base.
Experience in the following:
- Previous experience in the graphics industry.
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Emphasis in Illustrator, Photoshop (a plus)
- Onyx RIP operation. Color management concepts and procedures.
- Flexi Sign (a plus)
- Microsft Office
Equipment familiarity to be trained on
- Vinyl cutting plotter, wide-format printer and laminator.
- Flatbed direct printer
- Laser engraver
- 3 axis router .
