We are seeking a Sign Manufacturing Operations Leader to join our Team.
The Sign Manufacturing Operations Leader is a professional, self-motivated team player with great interpersonal skills and values delivering excellence. Responsibilities
- You will be responsible to lead all aspects of sign production, operations, and installation; which includes graphic design, preparing graphics for print, preparing substrates, determining appropriate print material and machinery to provide the highest quality product while focused on managing cost
- You will be a self-confident, motivated and creative professional that will have fun playing a big role in ramping up the growth and profitability of this new business
- Full-time availability (40 hours/week)
- Answer phones
- Consult/interface with customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area
- Assist in maintaining company signage equipment
- Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs
- Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques to become a better sign making professional
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on design and production experience as a professional sign maker
- Large format digital printing
- Excellent computer and file management skills including Adobe Illustrator, Onyx, RIP software, and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong background in color management, color matching, vinyl creation and application, and large format digital printing
- Expert printer, plotter, and laminator equipment experience with the broad knowledge of sign materials and substrates
- Good experience efficiently creating shop drawings and layouts for permits, fabrication, and installation
- Very detail-oriented multitasker with strong project management and workflow experience critical to accurately estimating and meeting deadlines
- Coachable Team Player with excellent people and communication skill sets with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with coworkers, customers, and sub-contractors
- Excellent math skills for measuring, pricing, etc. and willing to learn
- Must have the flexibility to stand for long periods of time, lean over a waist-high table, and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
- Clear understanding of organization and cleanliness of the manufacturing and production areas as well as the maintenance of the equipment
- Very good knowledge of power tools and hardware, comfortable working on a ladder, and able to lift 40 or more pounds
- Certified installation professional (3M, Avery, etc.) with a broad range of installation experience including vehicle graphics (preferred)
- Valid driver's license
