This is an individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and ownership of validation strategy across multiple programs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Own and drive signal integrity validation strategy, execution, and methodologies across multiple platforms and programs\n * Lead end-to-end electrical validation and characterization for high- and low-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, SPI, JTAG, I3C, I2C)\n\n * Define and standardize validation practices, including compliance, margining, correlation to simulation, and debug workflows\n * Partner with architecture, hardware, and SI/PI design teams to influence design decisions and enable first-pass success\n * Architect and scale lab infrastructure, including advanced measurement setups, automation frameworks, and data analysis pipelines\n * Lead complex system bring-up and deep debug, driving root cause analysis across silicon, package, board, and system levels\n * Drive interoperability validation across components and external vendors to ensure ecosystem readiness\n * Provide technical leadership and mentorship; elevate validation methodologies and execution standards across teams\n * Communicate validation status, risks, and technical insights to senior leadership and program management\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field\n * 8+ years of experience in high-speed I/O validation at silicon, package, or system/board level\n * Strong fundamentals in signal integrity, power integrity, and system-level debug methodologies\n * Hands-on experience with high-speed lab instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, BERTs, VNAs, TDR)\n * Experience with validation of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, or Ethernet\n * Proven ability to drive validation execution, debug complex issues, and deliver against program schedules\n * Experience with test automation and data analysis (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar)\n * Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Master\u2019s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline\n * 10+ years of experience with demonstrated impact at Staff / Senior Staff level\n * Experience owning validation strategy across multiple programs or platforms\n * Deep expertise in high-speed SerDes architectures, including CTLE, DFE, FFE/de-emphasis, clocking, and jitter analysis\n * Experience correlating lab measurements with simulation (e.g., channel modeling, IBIS-AMI)\n * Track record of defining or scaling validation methodologies adopted across teams or organizations\n * Experience leading large or complex validation efforts with broad organizational impact\n * Familiarity with industry standards and compliance bodies (e.g., PCI-SIG, JEDEC, IEEE)\n * Passion for engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
