Job Title: Sign-Maker and installer
Location: Missouri City, TX 77459
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sign-Maker/Production Lead who is a motivated, self-driven team player with excellent communication skills and a strong background in vinyl signage production. This role involves the fabrication of various types of signs, including wall murals, window graphics, vehicle wraps, post & panel signs, and office & lobby signage.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. We’re looking for someone who is confident, creative, and ready to showcase their skills—all while having fun on the job!
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the production and installation of all in-house signage projects. You will also assist with site surveys and collaborate with project managers to coordinate external installations as needed.
- Schedule, print, fabricate, and assemble signs for in-house projects, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
- Work closely with project managers to scope and fabricate signs internally and ensure smooth coordination.
- Maintain and organize the shop, ensuring materials, tools, and supplies are stocked and properly stored.
- Work with the company admin to reorder items when necessary.
- Regularly service all sign-making equipment, particularly the HP printer, to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of professional experience as a sign maker, with expertise in signage production and fabrication.
- Experience with large-format digital printing. Bonus points for experience with the HP 700 series latex printer and Graphtec FC9000-160 plotter.
- Proficient in ONYX software!
- Skilled in Adobe Design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Knowledge of color management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Competence in managing a workshop with numerous tools, supplies, and materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Vehicle wrap installation experience is highly valued but not required.
