Overview






 

The Site Buyer manages all purchasing, sourcing, and inventory activities that support daily manufacturing plant operations. This role ensures timely availability of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) parts, plant consumables, and shop supplies while maintaining cost effectiveness, inventory accuracy, and strong system integrity.

 

The Site Buyer partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Performance teams to manage spend, support equipment reliability, and ensure purchasing and inventory processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

 

 









Responsibilities






 

Purchasing & Sourcing

  • Procure all MRO parts, equipment, and plant consumables
  • Execute sourcing and purchasing activities through the MyBuy procurement system
  • Ensure timely order placement, delivery, and issue resolution
  • Support cost control through price comparison, supplier selection, and spend visibility

Inventory Management & Control

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to support plant reliability while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Own inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation
  • Oversee storeroom organization, part labeling, and inventory standards
  • Support parts kitting for planned maintenance and scheduled work

System & Data Integrity

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of purchasing and inventory data within MyBuy
  • Research and resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and inventory balances
  • Keep part descriptions, pricing, supplier information, and usage data current and accurate

Receiving & Storeroom Operations

  • Coordinate receiving of purchased materials and equipment
  • Ensure proper documentation, storage, and system receipt of incoming materials
  • Partner with Maintenance and Operations to prioritize urgent or critical part needs

Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Work with Maintenance teams to forecast parts needs and support equipment uptime
  • Collaborate with Operations and Performance Managers/Analysts to track spend and usage trends
  • Support audits and compliance activities related to purchasing and inventory controls

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $60,600 - $94,450.

Qualifications






  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong organizational and data management skills
  • Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory control systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced plant environment
  • Experience with MRO purchasing and storeroom operations
  • Experience using MyBuy or similar ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of maintenance parts, equipment, and industrial supplies
  • Experience supporting audits or inventory control processes
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred (maintenance or related field)
  • 5+ years of operations or maintenance experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated success in a results‑oriented, challenging environment
  • Must have indefinite right to work in the United States
