Build the Walls People Climb
You know your way around a job site, your cuts are clean, and you take pride in work that lasts. Now picture that craftsmanship holding up a climbing gym. If you want your work to stand out, let's build something worth climbing.
About the Role
As a Site Carpenter, you'll build and install custom carpentry and steel for climbing gyms, from feature walls and lockers to the structures behind the climbing walls themselves. You'll work on active job sites in and around Utah County, often with clients nearby.
This is a full-time role paying $25–$30/hour, depending on experience. You'll work independently, think on your feet, and leave every site cleaner than you found it.
What You'll Do
Build, assemble, and install custom carpentry products such as wooden accent walls, furniture, lockers, and cubbies, ensuring each piece fits and matches the style of the surrounding aesthetics
Assemble custom wood and steel structures, and handle concrete, demo, and scaffolding
Work at heights with lifts and harnesses, keeping two points of safety and following rope access standards
Run hand, power, and pneumatic tools and heavy machinery
Read printed and digital plans, estimate materials and equipment, and run quality checks
Keep accurate daily time and materials logs
Follow OSHA standards, wear your PPE, and keep the job site organized using 5S
Report to your assigned job site each morning and get started on your own
Pitch in on general labor like cleanup, inventory, and errands
What You Bring
You might be a great fit if you have:
5+ years of professional carpentry experience
3+ years of on-the-job construction training, an apprenticeship, or an associate degree in construction
Confidence reading plans, using measuring tools, and handling materials and equipment
The strength to lift 75+ lbs regularly, stay on your feet all day, and work at heights in any weather
The ability to manage your time and work without someone looking over your shoulder
