Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Site Civil EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:

•Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, erosion & sediment control, and associated civil engineering activities

•Develop design plans, profiles and details

•Assist in the preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans

•Perform quantity takeoffs

•Assist in the preparation of basis of design narratives

•Assist in performing stormwater water quality and quantity calculations

•Assist in the preparation of specifications and contract documents

•Perform assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures

•Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering degree.

• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills

• Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Siteworks is required

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who reside locally are preferred.
EIT is preferred. Candidates who are hired without EIT certification will be hired with the title of Civil Designer and will be expected to obtain certification for career progression
Previous experience in general civil engineering preferred
Experience with stormwater design modeling programs such as HydroCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Storm & Sanitary Analysis, Hecras, etc., is preferred
