Site Civil Engineer

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Civil Engineer to lead and grow our civil site practice in the Charleston, SC office. This leadership role requires an individual with a proven track record in business development, staff management, and project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the site civil group, building client relationships, pursuing new business opportunities, and ensuring the overall financial success of the practice.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, local market knowledge, and a passion for expanding our presence in the Low country region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee design and permitting for site development projects
• Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders
• Establish & grow presence in target areas through Marketing and Business Development
• Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly
• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals
• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff
• Establish resources staffing needs for the section
• Interview and hire staff for the section
• Conduct performance reviews for staff via input from project managers on assigned teams
• Lead & manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
• Professional Engineer License
• 10+ years experience in site civil engineering.
• Project management and business development experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
