The Site Coordinator acts as a liaison between the Scribes and clinic/hospital staff and is a point of contact for escalation protocol while representing the Company in a knowledgeable, caring, and professional manner. This individual will be responsible for facilitating review of scribe documentation and quality control procedures, follow up within the assigned clinic/hospital to disseminate new Company protocols and updates, and overseeing the identification of opportunities, goals, and core measures to enhance delivery of services.
REQUIRED: This position requires 6 months of previous Medical Scribe experience.
To be considered, your availability must allow for you to work two or more of the following shift needs.You must be able to work the full duration of the shift time at least two days per week. (If your schedule does not allow for you to fulfill the shift needs, please reapply at a later time once your schedule is more open).
Shift Needs:
Shift Need#1: (Full-Time) Monday - Sunday, flexible for any E.R. Shift as needed for training.
**Must be able to commute between the following locations: Arlington, Mount Vernon, and Bellingham. This position requires local travel within Northern Washington. You will be made aware of your monthly schedule and location(s) about 3-4 weeks in advance of each month.
This position will be paid at the state minimum wage throughout training; once on-site, this position will start at $19.66/hr.
Essential duties include:
Facilitate Team review of assigned documentation, quality control and follow up with training as needed
First point of contact for assigned site’s Scribe workforce solutions and schedule fulfillment; Partner with the Client Service Manager to ensure 100% shift coverage
Help maintain skills, productivity, and efficiencies within assigned site(s)
Assist in the dissemination and implementation of new Company and/or emergency department protocols, updates, and tasks
Act as a liaison between client and Company ensuring proper escalation, documentation, and follow up for any issues that arise in a professional and timely manner.
Assist management with Scribe performance reviews and ensure feedback is fully communicated and documented
Actively participate in assigned site management meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis to ensure goals, areas of opportunity, and core measures are reviewed, communicated, and attained
Preparing and assembling medical record documentation for assigned physicians prior to patient visit; Entering the patient room with the physician during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation in real time using either paper or electronic medical record applications
Preparing medical records and ensuring accurate and timely documentation; Updating patient history and other pertinent health information in the patient record
Preparing and sending all documentation to physician for review and approval.
Monitoring the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures for proper documentation; Obtaining and recording vital signs
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; College Sophomore status or higher required
Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
Ability to obtain proof of vaccinations as required by specific site
Typing speed 45+ WPM
Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English
Excellent time management, coordination, and communication skills required
Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines required
Part-timeAvailable to work two shifts per week (16-24 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 consecutive months
Full-timeAvailable to work two shifts per week (32+ hours per week) for a minimum of 12 consecutive months
Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours
Ability to understand HIPAA regulations and appropriately maintain confidential patient and client information
Ability to observe and to draft a narrative account of events accurately and cogently, in grammatically-correct English
Ability to operate a personal computer and related software applications
Ability to learn and appropriately apply basic medical terminologies and techniques taught and used on the job.
Ability to work in a dynamic, highly-stressful environment that routinely involves exposure to highly-sensitive personal medical issues.
Ability to problem solve under pressure.
Ability to communicate and interact professionally with others.
Understanding of and commitment to appropriate protection of confidential patient information.
Commitment to high professional ethical standards.
