High Point & Affiliated Organizations (HPAO) is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Site Director Requirements
Must always present as courteous and professional;
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion;
Proficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO's electronic medical records;
Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner;
An understanding of the relationship between substance uses and mental health issues and/or self-help programs;
An understanding of boundaries and ethics;
Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations;
Completion of the HPAO approved de-escalation program;
Maintain and submit any current licensure or certification necessary for the performance of the position.
Site Director Duties and Responsibilities
Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of treatment of services according to standards of practice and rules and regulation of the Department of Public Health, Department of Mental Health, Health Care Quality and Joint Commission;
Oversees implementation of HPAO policies and procedures related to service delivery and operations;
After-hours/on-call program support for patient clinical emergencies, dose verification, and other patient urgent needs on a rotating basis with Program leadership;
Provide direct oversight and supervision of operations staff for the program;
Provides weekly supervision with assigned staff;
Provides weekly management meetings to collaborate with all services within the program;
Oversee and monitors all incidents and sentinel events for the site;
Provision of an atmosphere conducive to self-development to acceptance of individual responsibility;
Shall have profit and loss responsibilities and assist in preparation of the operating budget, including implementation, maintenance, and review with budget committee for program;
Fiscal skills including monitoring of expenses, monthly fiscal reports of appropriate utilization of facility resources, and review quarterly with CQI committee;
Chart reviews as needed to insure documentation of services;
Facilitates the overall functioning of the Program between and among departments;
Remain informed of current information concerning HPAO policies/procedures and participates in writing policies as needed;
Attend mandatory trainings;
Participates in marketing and community outreach activities;
Represents the agency in community meetings and acts as liaison to collaborating community services such as police, fire, mayor’s office, courts, other service organizations, DPH, EOHLC and CHNA groups etc., as needed;
Represents agency in provider meetings;
Other duties as assigned by COO and President/CEO.
Qualifications
Master's degree in human services or related field;
5+ years of management experience.
