Site Manager

Description

SUMMARY

The Site Manager is responsible to oversee that direct services are provided to the eligible Native population within the community of the site location in accordance with the TANF regulations and policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible to see that the four purposes of TANF are being met.
• Direct supervision of Caseworker and Receptionist, when applicable.
• Conduct yearly evaluation of supervised staff.
• Responsible for daily activity at assigned site.
• Review and approve all applications and documentation for services.
• Oversee all participant files and data entries.
• Review all Monthly Eligibility Reports.
• Meet with Caseworker on a weekly basis to review cases.
• Perform duties of Caseworker and carry caseloads when necessary.
• Collaborate with other agencies.
• Work with County representative.
• Work with the community to identify all available resources.
• Schedule classes and site activities to meet the needs of site participants and families.
• Cultivate relationships with participating Partner Tribes within their community.
• Oversee that all eligible participant requests are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure that work participation rates are achieved and work to increase rates when necessary.
• Approve check requests in the TAS computer system.
• Report any suspected fraud cases to the Integrity Department.
• Oversee the ordering of all supplies needed at site.
• Complete check requests and purchase orders for supplies and services.
• Review site staff timesheets and leave requests.
• Complete monthly site reports and state cost reports and forward to Regional Manager.
• Review Crystal reports.
• As a Mandated Reporter, will make child abuse reports when necessary.
• Work closely with Regional Manager.
• Perform janitorial duties to keep the office clean and safe.
• Maintains site vehicle.
• Transport participants when necessary.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent and two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current California driver’s license.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the Native community.
• Must be flexible and able to resolve issues and challenges in a professional manner.
• Ability to react well under pressure.
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures.
• Knowledge of contact management systems, database software and word processing software.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
• Requires sitting 6-8 hours per day.
• Requires occasional driving to meetings at other sites or to participants’ homes for site visits.
• Requires contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, via e-mail, or through correspondence).
• Requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization.
• Requires work with others in a group or team.
• Requires meeting strict deadlines.

OTHER

• Experience working with Tribal People helpful.
• Work hours may vary.
• CTTP conducts a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test, and random or for-cause drug testing thereafter.
• CTTP complies with the Indian Preference Act.
